MIDMOD is an online shop for original vintage design. We choose furniture, lighting and objects that are well designed and well made — whatever decade and country they come from — and give them a second life.
What MIDMOD is
We look for pieces that have stood the test of time — not because they are old, but because they were well designed. Classics of Polish design, Scandinavian modernism, pieces from former Czechoslovakia, Italian and German design: what they share is quality and authenticity.
We do not sell copies or mass-produced pieces styled to look vintage. Every item has its own story, and we make sure it goes to someone who will appreciate it.
What we believe in
Authenticity
We only offer originals. We check the maker, the designer and the dating before an item goes on sale.
Selection
We do not accept everything. What matters is good design and quality craftsmanship — not the label or the decade.
Honest descriptions
Dimensions, materials and condition, including the signs of use that are part of each piece’s history.
A second life
The most sustainable piece of furniture is one that already exists. Vintage is a conscious choice, not just an aesthetic.
