Huta „Sudety” in Szczytna (Szczytna Śląska) near Kłodzko initially produced shades for oil lamps and window glass, and over time other utility glass as well.

In 1947, a set for beverages made of glass coloured in the mass was produced here, designed by Halina Jastrzębowska-Sigmund and Wanda Zawidzka-Manteuffel.

In 1959, Zbigniew Horbowy began working as a designer at the glassworks. His vases from 1960–1961 and glasses from 1978 are held in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw; his designs also include the „Alicja” bottles (1971) and the „Bączek” vase (late 1960s). Ewa Gerczuk-Moskaluk also worked at the glassworks, creating the „Herkules” vase (1976), while Kazimierz Krawczyk designed the „Żyrafa” vase. The „Gothic” set by Piotr Talma was created here in 1996–1997.
