The glassworks in Mstišov is associated above all with the work of Frantisek Zemek, who was its chief designer in 1956–1959. For Mstišov, he created his Rhapsody series (design from 1956, refreshed in 1960 – glued-on strips were used instead of knobs) and Harmony (1959).

The glassworks ceased operations in 1963, and production was moved to Karlovy Vary. The history of the glassworks is described in J. Bazantovej’s publication ‘Sklo ze Mstišova 1956–64’ (2019). The glassworks’ founding date is not known from available sources. At MIDMOD, glass from Mstišov appears as individual pieces from the secondary market.
