Vichr a spol., a company producing metalwork in Duchcov, was registered in 1899; its partners were locksmith Antonín Vichr and his nephew Petr Vichr (born 1874), who became the sole owner in 1902 and ran the company until its nationalisation in 1946.
In 1913, Petr Vichr chose Lysá nad Labem as the location for a new plant, which began operating at the end of 1914. After the First World War, it produced residential, school and office furniture. Following nationalisation, the plant operated as Kovona, and after privatisation in 1992 it became part of Enprag.
