Zamojskie Fabryki Mebli (ZFM) were state furniture factories in Zamość. In documents described in the archival catalogue of the Institute of National Remembrance, the factory appears under this name from the late 1970s. From 1977 to 1981, the factory had a PZPR Workplace Committee, whose organ was the workplace newspaper „Wspólna Praca”. In 1981, the ZFM had a Workplace Committee of NSZZ „Solidarność”.

The traditions of the furniture industry in Zamość date back to the beginning of the 20th century. By order of the Minister of Industry and Trade dated 31 July 1948, the state enterprise Zamojskie Fabryki Przemysłu Drzewnego was established in Zamość, whose business was the manufacture of all types of furniture.
