Modernist wall-mounted candle holder, Dantoft, Denmark, 1960s

This decorative wall-mounted candle holder is an excellent example of 1960s Danish modernism (Mid-Century Modern), manufactured by Dantoft.
The geometric, openwork iron structure is based on a symmetrical, intersecting grid. At the centre of the composition is a transparent glass detail, which creates an effective contrast with the rawness of the metal.
At the bottom is a flat, round base designed to hold a candle.
