Description
Set of 4 chairs, Pagholz, Germany, 1960s
Iconic German design chairs from the 1960s/70s. The seats were manufactured by the renowned company Pagholz from the revolutionary material Pagwood (Pagholz) – beech plywood impregnated with resin and formed under enormous pressure.
As a result, the seats are anatomically contoured, flexible and highly durable.
They are mounted on a chrome-plated sled-type base, giving the furniture a distinct modernist character.
The set comprises 2 pieces with special connectors that allow the chairs to be joined together and form an integrated bench, and 2 classic pieces without side handles.
They are in very good condition.
Moreover, these pieces can be stacked (placed inside one another), making them an ideal solution for smaller rooms or as additional seats for guests.
Two chairs are fitted with connectors that allow them to be joined into a bench, while the other two have a standard construction without side fixings. The chairs are in very good condition, have slight signs of use and have undergone minor cosmetic freshening.
