Alain Winance was born in 1946 in Tournai. He works in printmaking, painting and illustration; among others, he illustrated books by Marc Quaghebeur, Colette Nys-Mazure and Paul André published in Belgium between 1991–2011.
He has exhibited, among others, at the Michel Vokaer and Galerie 2016 galleries in Brussels, in Arras and at Maison de la Culture in Tournai. His works are held in the collections of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Centre de la Gravure et de l’Image imprimée of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels and Musée Gaspar in Arlon.
