Under the name Barbaglia & Colombo, the Italian designers Mario Barbaglia (b. 1950) and Marco Colombo (b. 1952) worked together. Their lamps were produced by PAF and Italiana Luce. Three designs by the duo are held in the collection of the Cooper Hewitt museum: the Dove lamp (c. 1984), the “Light” lamp made of plastic and silk (1990, in the museum’s collection since 1991 as a gift from Koch + Lowy), and the Tabla Light lamp (c. 1993).
Biographical information about both designers, apart from their years of birth, is not widely documented. At MIDMOD, lamps by Barbaglia and Colombo appear as single pieces from the secondary market.
