He was a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1956, he began working at the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw, in the team designing porcelain figurines, led by Henryk Jędrasiak. As the only member of the team, he had previous experience working with porcelain.
He mainly designed animals, especially birds. His figurines include Perkoz (1957), Batalion (1957), Dudek (1958), Czajka (1958), Czapla (1958) and Sikorka (1960), as well as Dzik, Żubr, Bizon, Kot leżący and Jeździec meksykański. In the Dzik figurine, he joined the animal's limbs, reducing the number of points of support. Dzik and Batalion were presented in the British magazine “The Studio” in 1959. Czapla was spray-painted, imitating plumage. Production of the Institute's designs was transferred in 1964 to Zakłady Porcelany in Ćmielów.
