The bentwood furniture factory in Jasienica was opened in 1881 by Josef Hofmann, who converted an acquired sawmill and match factory. In 1923, the plant was incorporated into the Thonet-Mundus organisation. Between 1957 and 1959, Marian Sigmund worked at the Bentwood Furniture Factory in Jasienica, designing new chairs and armchairs for export, including B584 and A587 chairs; in Magdalena Smaga’s publication, the plant also appears as Bielskie Zakłady Przemysłu Drzewnego w Jasienicy.

In 1967, the Jasienica factory was placed under the supervision of Zjednoczenie Przemysłu Meblarskiego under a cooperation agreement; previously, it had been subordinate to Zakłady Mebli Giętych w Radomsku. Today, the history of the plant is presented by Paged. The name “Bifameg” has not been confirmed in historical sources.
