Vetreria Mazzega, operating at Fondamenta da Mula on Murano, describes itself as the direct successor to the historic Mazzega IVR glassworks, which from the mid-1950s led the artistic and conceptual renewal of Murano glass. The company also states that during this period it worked with artists associated with Fucina degli Angeli, including Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Gio Ponti, Georges Braque, Jean Cocteau, Fulvio Bianconi and Carlo Scarpa.
Designer Carlo Nason worked with A.V. Mazzega on Murano from 1965–1980; Artribune reports that the glassworks' products are no longer produced.
The company currently produces chandeliers in various sizes and styles, mirrors, sets of glass tableware and large sculptures made of solid glass. It lists Adriana Dalla Valentina, Dina Rosina, Marco Toso Borella, Giuliana Ongara and Nicoletta Onesto among the artists it works with.
