Description
Pair of Kolding armchairs, designed by Erik Wørts for IKEA, manufactured by Gościcińska Fabryka Mebli (GFM) in the 1960s.
The armchairs are made of solid oak. This model is characterised by substantial armrests and turned cigar-shaped legs.
New cushions with piping along the edges are made in a blue-grey bouclé fabric.
The armchairs have been fully restored.
Erik Wørts’s design fully reflects Scandinavian mid-century modern aesthetics; GFM also produced this model in afromosia wood.
