Pair of porcelain rabbit figurines no. 1028, SylvaC, England, 1950s
Description
Collector’s set of figurines by the British manufacturer SylvaC
The figurines depict seated rabbits with rounded silhouettes and characteristic large ears. The ceramic has a textured surface imitating fur, coated with glossy glaze in an emerald green shade. This nostalgic, somewhat storybook-like design, combined with the saturated colour, creates a striking and highly sought-after accent in a mid-century aesthetic.
The pieces are preserved in very good condition with natural crazing (hairline cracks in the glaze) typical of vintage ceramics. A model number is impressed into the clay on the underside of the bases.
