Pair of vintage crystal bookends, Germany, 1970s

Description

An elegant set of two bookends made in Germany, representing an excellent example of 1970s glass design. The objects are made of high-quality, heavy, transparent crystal glass with exceptional clarity.

The bookends are based on a geometric, stable sculptural form with a sculptural profile; the side line rises smoothly upwards, creating a dynamic, arched slope. The sides of the objects are decorated with deep vertical facets.

The items are preserved in very good vintage condition, with minimal, natural signs of use.
