Harald Nielsen was born on 20 July 1892 in Bårse and died on 22 December 1977 in Hellerup. He was Georg Jensen’s brother-in-law and one of his closest associates; as a talented technical draughtsman, he created several of the company’s most successful designs in the 1920s and 1930s.
After Jensen’s death in 1935, he became artistic director of Georg Jensen Sølvsmedie A/S in Copenhagen. Among other works, he designed the Pyramid cutlery. In 1954, he was made a Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog; his work is held by Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
