Lisa Larson worked at Gustavsberg from 1954 to 1980, where she was tasked with creating series intended for wide distribution. These included figurines from the Larsons Kids series, such as “Johanna”, “Stina with a Cat”, the Africa series with the “Lion Gigant” figurine, and the “Matilda” tableware series. Her first exhibition was held at Röhsska Museum in 1954.

In 1992, she co-founded the Keramikstudion workshop with Franco Nicolosi and Siv Solin, which continues to produce her figurines. Her work became particularly well known in Germany and Japan; in 2015, a monumental copy of one of her figurines was installed at Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park.
