Wincenty Potacki was a sculptor and designer of many ceramic forms and ceramic decorative wares, one of the designers working for the porcelain works in Ćmielów. He is listed among the artists employed at the model-making centres of Polish ceramics factories.

In the 1960s, he designed the Goplana, Ida and London tableware services; the last was produced mainly for export. Goplana, shown at the 30th Poznań International Fair, was described at the time as a hit and, together with the Krokus service, is considered one of the most characteristic post-war designs from the Ćmielów factory. He was also the creator of the Wesoły byczek porcelain figurine, also known as Fernando.

The National Museum in Kielce acquired his services with a ministerial grant and displayed them in an exhibition presenting the institution's new acquisitions.
