The Harmonie model was designed by Soren Eriksen for the French brand Lucid (Atelier Sedap). The model appeared in Lucid catalogues in the second half of the 1990s and quickly became one of the brand’s most recognisable lamps.

The lamp is made of bent beech plywood, solid beechwood, metal, and a white acrylic (Plexiglas) diffuser. The distinctive shade, constructed from two curved wooden panels joined by a milky diffuser, not only gives the lamp a sculptural appearance, but above all provides soft, evenly diffused light. Small perforations along the lower edge subtly shape the light distribution, creating a pleasant atmosphere in the interior. The lamp is in very good condition, with a minor crack in its base visible in one of the photographs.

The design fits perfectly within the aesthetic of contemporary Scandinavian modernism, with clear influences of organic design. Natural wood is combined with a simple geometric form and modern materials, allowing the lamp to remain timeless despite its distinctive character. This is a model that works equally well on a chest of drawers, a large desk, or a side table, serving both as functional lighting and as a decorative interior element.

Soren Eriksen is a Danish designer specialising in lighting design. He collaborated with the Lucid brand, designing a series of lamps based on the use of bent wood and soft, diffused light. His work clearly reflects a fondness for simple forms, natural materials, and functionality—qualities that remain hallmarks of Scandinavian design.

Lucid, part of the French Atelier Sedap, has specialised in producing lighting using bent wood since the late 1960s. The company gained recognition through its skilful combination of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship, creating lamps for both private interiors and prestigious hotel and commercial projects. Lucid models are still valued today for their high quality of manufacture and timeless aesthetic.
