Industrial metal cabinet, 1950s
Industrial factory cabinet from the 1950s. Made entirely of metal, it features four spacious shelves secured with magnetic catches. The interiors of the shelves have been cleaned and finished in black. The original layers of varnish, paint and patina left by the passage of time have been preserved on the sides of the cabinet. All of this has been sealed with lacquer, creating a unique composition of patterns and colours. The front has been stripped back to bare metal and finished with satin lacquer, giving it a subtle sheen. It also bears traces of the material-forming processes, with irregular transitions of colour, lines and streaks. The cabinet stands on its original metal legs. In addition to its strong industrial appeal, it is functional and designed for storing heavy items. Its industrial design is ideal for modern spaces as well as loft interiors. It is intended for those who appreciate raw simplicity.
The cabinet is in original vintage condition. It has age-related signs of use and a natural patina.
