Mid-Century Modern bronze candle holder, Germany, 1960s

An exceptionally original, sculptural candle holder from the 1960s, made of bronze. With its organic form and raw finish, it represents the Brutalist movement, drawing on the iconic designs of German artist Michael Harjes.

The candle holder features six round, shallow cups arranged symmetrically around the circumference, intended for small candles or tealights.
The piece is characterised by a rough, irregular texture with visible traces of craftsmanship.

The candle holder is preserved in its original, very good condition.
