Description

A rare Marsala corner armchair designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in the 1970s, an excellent example of the bold experiments of French Space Age design. The piece combines a sculptural, thermoformed brown Plexiglas shell with a generously padded, removable cushion, creating the low-slung, futuristic silhouette characteristic of the Marsala collection.

An original piece retaining its authentic Ligne Roset stamp. The armchair has undergone professional upholstery restoration and has been finished in a soft, stain-resistant bouclé loop fabric in a light beige shade.
The contrasting neutral upholstery highlights the deep brown tone of the shell while providing exceptional comfort.
The Plexiglas has been preserved in excellent vintage condition.

Highly valued by collectors and increasingly difficult to find, the Marsala armchair makes a striking statement in Space Age, Mid-Century Modern, and contemporary interiors.
The matching set also includes a two-seater sofa, a pouf (footstool), and two armchairs.
