Description

A swivel armchair in the iconic “Tulip” design, created by Eero Saarinen for Knoll, is one of the most recognisable silhouettes in the history of modern design, prized for its sculptural pedestal base, which completely eliminates the visual clutter of traditional chair legs.
This 1970s example bears authentic, minor signs of age on the shell and base—an honest patina of a genuine vintage piece, rather than a contemporary reproduction.
The armchair has undergone a full, professional restoration: it has been fitted with new foam and cushions, as well as new upholstery in an easy-clean fabric with vertical stitching (the channel quilting effect).
Compact and versatile, it will work equally well as a desk chair or dining chair.
Minor signs of use on the shell and base.
