Description
Safari chair, designed by B. Johanson, Sweden, 1970s
Leather chair designed by Börje Johanson for Johanson Design in Sweden in the 1970s. This safari chair is characterised by a glue-free construction, tool-free self-assembly, and durability. The frame consists of chrome-plated steel tubes and wooden elements, while the seat is made from soft black leather and wool fabric. Its construction is visually very lightweight, and because the seat and armrests are “suspended,” they adapt nicely to the body. The chair is well made and very comfortable. The whole piece has been cleaned, the details carefully finished, and the leather treated with a generous application of specialist leather care product. Additional dimensions: Seat: Width 49.5 cm | Depth 46 cm | Height 40.5 cm | Armrest height 49 cm.
