Sideboard, Bydgoszcz Furniture Factories, PRL, 1960s

Vintage walnut-veneered sideboard from the Type 1059 furniture suite, manufactured by Bydgoszcz Furniture Factories in 1964.
A characteristic feature of this design is its faceted legs, which, like the handles and the framework supporting the cabinets, are made of solid wood.
The sideboard has six deep drawers, one intended for storing cutlery, as well as a shelf with a cut-out that can be removed.
A clear Scandinavian design influence, solid construction and impressive length (as much as 180 cm).
A model rarely seen on the market, suggesting that the sideboard was produced primarily for export.
The sideboard has undergone a full restoration.
