Vintage armchair, Jitona, Czechoslovakia, 1960s
The armchair was manufactured in Czechoslovakia by the Jitona factory in the 1960s.
The armchair has a compact, geometric form with distinctive wide armrests that flow seamlessly into the line of the backrest.
It is upholstered in a textured fabric in orange, green and black, which captures the aesthetic of modernist interiors of the mid-20th century.
The seat structure rests on solid-wood legs that taper towards the bottom.
The armchair has undergone a full restoration.
