Mirror in a Polished Brass Frame, Antique, 19th Century
The mirror frame was made of polished brass in the 19th century; the frame has a convex, three-dimensional profile, uniquely stylised in the shape of a snake, with wavy (S-shaped) edges. The bottom of the frame is crowned by a snake’s head.
The piece was carefully cleaned and then polished.
