Modernist Conference Chair, Drabert, Germany, 1970s

A conference chair made by the German manufacturer Drabert in the 1970s. According to the stamp, it was produced in 1977. The solid chromed frame gives the piece a sense of visual lightness and a modern character, while ensuring durability and stability. The seat and backrest are upholstered in durable fabric in an elegant, deep brown shade which, combined with the natural oak used for the armrests, creates a cohesive and timeless whole. This chair is an example of Mid-Century Modern style with clear Bauhaus influences, combining functionality, elegance and simplicity in a timeless form. Each leg ends in a neatly contoured foot that completes the aesthetic of the piece, while protecting the floor and ensuring stability.
