A suspended ceiling lamp designed by Carl Thore for Granhaga Metallindustri in the 1960s. This model reflects a hallmark of Scandinavian design: working with metal and forms based on simple geometric volumes.

The shade is made of aluminium, typically finished in gold. The lamp’s form is based on a combination of several tiers that subtly shape the light. This solution derives from the so-called multi-shade system, developed in Scandinavia during the 20th century to diffuse light and conceal the light source, thereby improving visual comfort.

Stylistically, the lamp sits between mid-century modern and space age. On the one hand, it retains the functional, understated character of Scandinavian design; on the other, it introduces a more distinctive, almost sculptural form and a lustrous metal finish. As a result, it works well in both classic and more contemporary interiors.
