Ejvind A. Johansson (1923–2002) was a cabinetmaker by trade; in 1949, he graduated from Kunsthåndværkerskolen in Copenhagen. At the age of 33, he became chief architect of FDB Møbler – the furniture division of a Danish consumer cooperative – and from 1956–1958 headed its design studio, succeeding Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther.

His best-known design is the J67 chair from 1957, which FDB Møbler still offers today. He remained FDB's chief architect for two years. At MIDMOD, his furniture appears as individual pieces from the secondary market.
