Farstrup Møbler originates from Farstrup Savværk & Stolefabrik – a sawmill and chair factory at Farstrupvej 21 in Farstrup. The company's records are held by Søndersø & Omegns Lokalhistoriske Arkiv; photographs of the sawmill staff from 1930 are among those preserved. In 1950, the factory celebrated its 40th anniversary, and in 1960 its 50th anniversary. In 1942, the director was Theodor Nielsen.

Photographs from 1976 and 1984 held by Odense Stadsarkiv show the premises under the name Farstrup Savværk & Stolefabrik; in 1987, the factory was visited by a delegation from France. The company continues to operate as Farstrup Furniture – in 2019, the local press reported on a delivery of lounge armchairs for a new hospital.
