Overman was a Swedish furniture manufacturer whose products from the 1960s and 1970s are associated with designs by Svante Schöblom. In 1967, the company introduced the Lilleman children's furniture designed by him, made of cellular plastic for the Swedish interior retail chain KF/Obs Interiör. In 1970, the Teenager chair was created, shaped like a scoop and made entirely of injection-moulded plastic.
In 1972, Overman began producing the stackable Clipper chair made of plastic, in which Schöblom applied the principles of ergonomics. The chair was produced in yellow, orange, brown and red; it was one of the company's best-selling products in Sweden and abroad and was used, among other places, in sports arenas and cafés.
