Set of chairs designed by Svante Schöblom for the Swedish manufacturer Overman in the 1970s. They were produced in several colours, but the white version is the most versatile. It adapts to any space and perfectly combines functionality with the Scandinavian design characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern era. The chairs consist of a backrest and seat made of moulded white plastic. The seat features an integrated upholstered element in burgundy. The chairs are stackable. The chrome-plated steel tubes fit together perfectly, allowing the chairs to be stacked. This model was later reproduced by IKEA.

Svante Schöblom was a Swedish furniture designer. In the 1960s, he studied industrial art and interior design at the Konstfack art school in Stockholm. He then worked for several years at OVERMAN AB as a designer and programmer. Many of his works consisted of a substructure, often made of thin, chromed metal elements, with a monochromatic, injection-moulded seat shell placed on top. The shell was flexible and often stackable, as in the Snille chair designed for IKEA. Upholstered seats often featured a colour contrasting with the plastic seat shell.

OVERMAN AB became known for using new materials and production methods that had not previously been widely used in the furniture industry.

The chairs have been preserved in their original vintage condition. They have minor scratches and age-related yellowing. The seat height is 44 cm.
