Wørts Møbelsnedkeri was a family cabinetmaking workshop run by Henrik Wørts. His son Erik Wørts (1916–1997) trained there and, after 1937, designed furniture for the workshop; it was shown at Danish Cabinetmakers' Exhibitions.
Erik Wørts graduated from the Danish School of Crafts in Copenhagen in 1937. From 1944, he worked in Sweden, including for Nordiska Kompaniet, and later also designed for IKEA.
