Brutalist Bronze Candelabrum Designed by Michael Harjes, 1960s
Description
A striking modular candelabrum in the raw aesthetic of 1960s Brutalism. The piece is made of heavy cast bronze.
The construction consists of interconnected, movable sculptural arms with organic, dynamic forms. Each module is topped with a cup-shaped candle holder and rests on slender, sharply defined feet.
The articulated joints allow the geometry and arrangement of the arms to be freely adjusted, optimising the spatial composition according to the needs of the setting.
The piece bears natural signs of age.
