Modernist armchairs from the PRL period, type 1312, Słupskie Fabryki Mebli, Poland, 1960s. A pair of armchairs from a type 1312 set, produced by Słupskie Fabryki Mebli in the 1960s. The armchairs were designed for a seating area, with wide, low-set seats. The set has been restored and fitted with new, easy-to-clean upholstery fabric, while the wooden elements have received a new finish. The choice of black upholstery fabric emphasises the geometric character of the design and harmonises with the original colour of the furniture legs. Despite their pronounced construction and large scale, the furniture is distinguished by precisely balanced proportions, making it suitable for both seating areas and formal interiors.
