Lennart Lilja lived from 1924 to 2008. He was a Swedish artist. He studied under Isaac Grünewald and Otte Sköld. In the 1950s, he wrote plays and tried his hand as an actor. This led to a role in Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal, as well as roles in several films by Nils Poppe.  Together with his wife, Frideborg Bryth, he ran an art studio where they focused mainly on oil and acrylic painting. In 1978, they jointly published the book Yttringar, featuring Lennart’s poems and Frideborg’s illustrations. Both belonged to the Dalsland Artists’ Association.
