Description

Quilted vintage leather Wing Chair, Denmark, 1960s

A rare modernist wing chair produced in Denmark in the 1960s. Upholstered in thick natural leather in a deep black shade, with pronounced patina and a beautiful network of cracks that tells the story of years of use. This is not a defect—it is a noble layer of time that adds soul and authenticity to the piece. The back and sides are decorated with classic, deeply button-tufted Chesterfield-style upholstery, adding sophistication and evoking the classics of English design. The substantial armrests and enveloping form provide comfort and stability. The tall, slightly flared back adds elegance and accentuates the chair’s sculptural form. The whole piece rests on sturdy turned legs made of solid wood—simple, yet stable and perfectly balanced. This armchair is a unique accent for characterful interiors. It would suit an industrial loft, a classic study, or an interior with a touch of Art Deco or an eclectic spirit. Perfect as a standalone piece in a reading room, beside a vinyl record collection, or as part of a relaxation area with a story to tell.

The armchair remains in its original vintage condition. It shows signs of age, minor cracking, and a natural patina. Several tufting buttons are missing. The seat height is 40 cm.
