Description

Vintage glass door handle, Alpana, Germany, 1960s

A unique push & pull door handle from the Mid-Century Modern era, manufactured in the 1960s. The piece combines the raw quality of metal with the craftsmanship of artistic handmade glass.

The main decorative element is a thick piece of cast glass with a beautiful amber colour. The glass is characterised by an organic, wavy and bubbly structure inside, which effectively refracts the light.

The glass front is set on a solid, geometric frame made of matt, black-lacquered metal, designed for direct mounting on the door leaf.

The handle is an exceptional architectural detail, ideal for enthusiasts of unique design from the second half of the 20th century.
The piece is preserved in very good condition.
