20th-century educational steam engine model, 1950s

An original metal model of a steam engine, intended for teaching and demonstration purposes, with a visible cylinder cross-section, flywheel and complete crank mechanism. A classic example of historical engineering, once used to teach mechanics and the operating principles of steam engines.
A solid, entirely metal model,
visible cylinder cross-section – an educational feature,
complete kinematics: piston, connecting rod, governor, flywheel,
stable wooden base,
original patina and aged paint finish preserved,
no restoration work – authentic condition.
Date:
mid-20th century (c. 1950–1960) .
Condition:
well-preserved collector’s condition,
mechanically complete (moving parts),
signs of use and age visible in the photographs – no cracks or missing parts,
no contemporary modifications.
