Art Deco ashtrays with a decorative stand, 1920s

Description

Unique, complete set of three decorative ashtrays with a stand, designed in the distinctive Art Deco style with Arts & Crafts influences.
The set consists of three square, slightly recessed ashtrays that can be stacked one on top of another in a specially designed stand.
Each ashtray features a small ledge serving as a cigarette rest.
The entire set is made of metal with a distinctive dark greenish-brown patina, accentuated by striking gilded details. The stand is particularly decorative, with a large arched handle and a geometric medallion at the top.
The contrast between the patinated metal and the gilded edges gives the set a highly decorative appearance. The form is geometric while also displaying the distinctly handcrafted character typical of decorative objects from the first half of the 20th century.
The set has been preserved in its original, complete configuration. Natural signs of ageing, scuffs and uneven patination are visible, enhancing its authentic character.

Condition: good, with authentic signs of use and the passage of time.
Note: Due to the absence of a maker’s mark, the material has been cautiously identified as metal / probably a copper alloy.
