The Kuben floor lamp was designed by Björn Svensson for the Swedish manufacturer Elidus in the 1970s. The cube-shaped lamp is made of metal in the iconic orange-red colour of the era. It features a flexible element at the shade, making it easy to adjust the direction of the light beam.
Design critics continue to debate the authorship of this design. It is often mistakenly attributed to Hans-Agne Jakobsson. However, all indications are that the lamp was designed by Björn Svensson and created for Elidus, the company he owned.
The lamp remains in its original vintage condition. It has minor scratches resulting from the passage of time. The light switch is located on the base. The lamp requires an E27 screw-base bulb.
