Space Age book stand, designed by Corus Associati, MGL Plast Fabriano, Italy, 1980s

A rare book or CD stand designed by Corus Associati Ancona and manufactured by the Italian manufacturer MGL Plast Fabriano in the 1980s. The original paper box, featuring period graphics, has also been preserved (an especially important detail for collectors of unusual vintage objects). It is made of red and black plastic. The stand consists of three elements: a long base and two geometric, movable sides. The width between the objects placed inside can be adjusted using the attachable sides. The maximum width between them is 30 cm. Its futuristic form and vivid red colour perfectly reflect the Space Age aesthetic.

The stand has been preserved in its original vintage condition. It shows minor age-related signs, including slight fading of the red colour. The base is 3 cm high and 16 cm wide.
