Umbrella stand, Germany, 1960s

Original, eye-catching conical umbrella stand, Vitra Model 11A, dating from the 1960s.
A characteristic feature of this model is its light, openwork construction made of golden metal rods, topped with decorative balls and a black, conical metal container.
The entire structure rests on a distinctive round base with rods radiating outwards.
Model 11A is an example of classic Mid-Century Modern design, combining functionality with a highly decorative geometric form.
The stand works well not only in a hallway, but also as a distinctive interior element in Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, Hollywood Regency or vintage interiors.

Vintage condition, consistent with its age and use.
Minor signs of age and wear are visible on the black surface and metal frame, as shown in the photographs.
The frame is complete and retains its original character.
