Laboratory apparatus, Zakłady Pomocy Naukowych, Poland, 1960s
Description
Original laboratory apparatus for demonstrating magnetic phenomena, manufactured in Poland in the 1960s and 1970s by Zakłady Pomocy Naukowych.
The apparatus is part of the historical equipment used in school and university physics laboratories. It was used to conduct experiments involving magnetic fields and to demonstrate basic phenomena related to electromagnetism.
The construction consists of a substantial horseshoe magnet, an adjustable metal stand, and a Bakelite base. The adjustable clamp allows precise positioning of the components used during experiments.
The original manufacturer’s marking has been preserved on the base, emphasising the item’s authenticity. Today, educational aids of this type are valued by collectors of historical laboratory equipment and enthusiasts of 20th-century technical design.
The apparatus is complete. It bears normal signs of use, light patina, and superficial traces of corrosion on the steel components resulting from its age. The Bakelite base has natural scratches and discolouration resulting from many years of use.
