Vintage desk designed by Torbjørn Afdal, manufactured by Bruksbo, Norway, 1960s

Teak desk designed in the 1960s by leading Norwegian designer Torbjørn Afdal and manufactured in Norway by Bruksbo. The piece has undergone meticulous, professional restoration involving the removal of old finishes, staining and lacquer finishing. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced cabinetmaker with more than 20 years of experience. Thanks to this work, the desk looks wonderful and will serve its new owner for many years without concern about damage or deterioration through everyday use.

The desk has six spacious drawers, each of which can be locked with a key inserted into the lock located on the side of either drawer cabinet. The mechanism locks three drawers simultaneously. The drawer fronts are fitted with handles made of solid teak, characteristic of this designer’s work. The back of the desk is finished so that the piece can be placed in the centre of a room.
