Vintage veneered chest of drawers, designed by Landsman&Nepozitek, Jitona, Czechoslovakia, 1960s
Description
A chest of drawers with a black glass top, designed by Bohumil Landsaman and Hubert Nepozitek for Jitona Sobeslav.
Manufactured in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia.
Veneered in ash and oak.
The legs are made of solid beech, finished in black semi-matt lacquer.
Gold-coloured aluminium fittings along the edges complement the wood and black legs.
In sunlight, the chest of drawers takes on particularly rich colours.
The entire piece has undergone comprehensive restoration, including the interiors. They are freshly finished and odour-free: the lacquer was removed, and the surfaces were sanded and lacquered.
A very interesting and minimalist design.
The chest of drawers is suitable as a classic sideboard or can be used as a washbasin cabinet. The lacquer is suitable for humid conditions.
The piece is finished with professional polyurethane lacquer in a semi-matt finish, applied by spraying.
The lacquer used is a high-grade product from a German manufacturer.
The product is highly resistant to yellowing and scratches, and resistant to perspiration, saliva and alcohol. It also protects the wood and stain from the effects of light through its UV filter.
The lacquer finish requires no additional maintenance during use.
The piece can be used without extra care.
