Getama is a Danish furniture manufacturer from Gedsted. The company originated as a factory making mattresses filled with seaweed and later developed furniture production. From around 1949, it collaborated with Hans J. Wegner and is one of the historic manufacturers of his furniture. Nanna Ditzel, Mogens Koch and the Friis & Moltke duo also designed for Getama.
On 9 February 2024, a fire destroyed the factory’s administrative building and production hall. At the beginning of 2025, the trade press reported talks concerning the takeover of the company by Carl Hansen & Son, while the production of Mogens Koch’s furniture was being moved to Fredericia.
