Atlantis Armchair, Space Age, Jitona, Czechoslovakia, 1970s

Armchair from the Atlantis lounge suite, manufactured by the Jitona Soběslav furniture factory in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s.
The shell surrounding the seat and backrest was made from a single piece of plastic and, despite their large size, the armchairs are lightweight and durable. The thick layer of upholstery foam ensures comfort, making them suitable for lounging.
The armchair has been reupholstered in new beige upholstery fabric and fitted with new filling.
The Atlantis model is an excellent example of 1970s design.
