Jörgen Birger Roland Fogelquist lived from 1927 to 2005. He was a Swedish artist. He grew up in Mariestad and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1945 to 1949, at the Académie Libre in Stockholm from 1950 to 1951, and at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1951 to 1956. He became known not only for his graphic work but also for approximately fifty public artworks made from various materials. Through concrete art featuring alternating curved and rectilinear forms, Fogelquist moved towards abstract expressionism. His paintings are characterised by rapid movements, surprising imagination, and an intense interplay of colours. One of the more interesting of his monumental works is a mural in the machine hall of the then Svenska Tobaks AB in Malmö.

The work is in original vintage condition. The sheet is slightly folded at the sides and torn at the top.
